Your Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Fez / Ifran / Medilt/Erfoud / Merzouga

   Your overnight desert tour from Fes begins with pickup from your riad or hotel at 8:00 AM. Travel through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains and stop in Ifrane, a charming mountain town built by the French in the 1930s and often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” because of its Alpine-style architecture. Continue to the cedar forest near Azrou, where you may encounter the famous Barbary macaques living among the ancient cedar trees. The journey then takes you through beautiful forests, natural springs, rocky landscapes and traditional Berber villages as you cross the Atlas Mountains toward the Sahara Desert. Around midday, stop for lunch in Midelt, a town known for its apples, minerals and fossils. After lunch, continue through the spectacular Ziz Valley, with stops at panoramic viewpoints overlooking its vast palm-filled oasis. Arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon, where your camel guide will be waiting. After a short break, begin your camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi and admire a beautiful Sahara sunset along the way. After approximately one hour, you will arrive at the desert camp, where you will be welcomed with traditional Moroccan mint tea. Enjoy dinner, experience Berber hospitality and spend the evening beneath the star-filled desert sky before staying overnight in a comfortable Berber tent.

2. Day 2

   Merzouga / Tafilalte / Fez

   In the morning you can get up early, take a walk over the dunes and watch the sunrise from just behind the Algerian border, which is about 50 km from Merzouga. We take camel back to the hotel. We will head back to Fes while stopping, of course, to rest and have lunch. we reach fez in the evening, we will take you to your accommodation around the evening.
