4 days & 3 nights Marrakech Desert Tour

This 4-day Marrakech desert tour follows two different routes through southern Morocco, creating a varied experience of mountains, gorges, dunes, kasbahs and palm-filled valleys. Travel across the High Atlas Mountains to Ait Ben Haddou and the Dades Valley before continuing through Todra Gorge to Merzouga. Ride a camel across the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend the night in a comfortable desert camp. The return journey follows a different road through Rissani, Nkob, the Draa Valley, Agdz and Ouarzazate before crossing the High Atlas Mountains back to Marrakech.

Day by day

Your Itinerary

1. Day 1

   Marrakech to Dades Valley

   Depart from Marrakech and cross the High Atlas Mountains through Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Visit Ait Ben Haddou before continuing through Ouarzazate, the Valley of Roses and Dades Valley. Arrive near Dades Gorge for sunset, dinner and an overnight stay.

2. Day 2

   Dades Valley to Merzouga

   After breakfast, explore the Dades landscapes before continuing toward Tinghir and Todra Gorge. Walk through the gorge and travel through Erfoud toward Merzouga. Arrive before sunset and begin a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy dinner, traditional music and an overnight stay in a private desert-camp tent.

3. Day 3

   Merzouga to Ouarzazate

   Wake early for sunrise before breakfast and departure. Travel through Rissani and continue along a different desert route through Nkob and the Draa Valley. Stop in Agdz before continuing to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight stay in a riad or hotel.

4. Day 4

   Ouarzazate to Marrakech

   After breakfast, visit Taourirt Kasbah and Atlas Film Studios. Cross the High Atlas Mountains and return to Marrakech in the afternoon.
