Begin with an arrival and guided visit in Fes before travelling through the Middle Atlas Mountains to Merzouga. Ride a camel across the Erg Chebbi dunes and spend the night in a traditional desert camp. - Day 1
Arrival in Fes
Meet your driver at Fes Airport and transfer to your riad or hotel. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy free time to relax or explore the nearby area. Dinner and overnight stay in Fes.
- Day 2
Guided Tour of Fes
After breakfast, explore the historic medina with a local guide. Discover traditional souks, Bab Boujloud, the Chouara Tanneries, Nejjarine Fountain, historic madrasas, the Mellah and the exterior of Al Quaraouiyine Mosque and University. Finish with a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the medina. Overnight stay in Fes.
- Day 3
Fes to Merzouga
Travel through Ifrane, the cedar forests near Azrou and the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop for lunch in Midelt before continuing through the Ziz Valley toward Merzouga. In the afternoon, begin a camel trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset. Enjoy dinner, music and an overnight stay in a desert camp.
- Day 4
Merzouga to Ouarzazate
After breakfast, leave Merzouga and travel toward Tinghir and Todra Gorge. Walk through the gorge before continuing through the Dades Valley and along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay.
- Day 5
Ouarzazate to Marrakech
Visit Taourirt Kasbah before travelling to Ait Ben Haddou. Explore the UNESCO-listed fortified village and continue through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Arrive in Marrakech for dinner and an overnight stay.
- Day 6
Marrakech to Essaouira and Back
Depart for Essaouira after breakfast, with a possible stop at an argan-oil cooperative. Explore the UNESCO-listed medina, harbour, fish market, ramparts and artisan workshops. Return to Marrakech in the afternoon or evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
- Day 7
Departure from Marrakech
Transfer to Marrakech Airport according to your departure time, marking the end of the tour.
